Grinpa!

It was a rainy day but nothing stopped me from going to Grinpa! I REALLY wanted to go. And I'm so glad I did because I don't think there'll be another chance again soon enough. ; 3 ;

I was able to bag a lot of Grinpa-limited figures and a few Flair U.K./E.U. items they have on stock as well. ^^ Although the new purchases are amazing in its own right, I would say that the highlight really has been the view. Mind you, it was a rainy day. Nevertheless, it was so beautiful in there!

Travel tip: Entering some buildings require a 300 yen entrance fee. The entrance fee to the park is at 1,200 yen for adults, 800 yen for kids. That does not include the fee for the rides or entering buildings.

And without further ado, here are some pictures I managed to snap while I was not busy ooh-ing and aah-ing.

These cats are beautiful! I hope someday they release the entire family. I like all of their clothing and color! The sister's dress is one of the best ones I've seen. ^^

Spot Maria! Haha. She must've been overwhelmed to meet these giant Sylvanians!

The roof was lighter than I expected it to be... Is there a version of the Green Hill House of this color? Or is this another house altogether? I'm confused!

Hmm... I would very much like to eat that cake!

In the miniature version, we can't REALLY fit that many frames and other stuff on top of that! ;P

Yeah. Let's pretend that's working! It's a light-up firework, y'know. Works with batteries and doesn't really get warm? XD

We also found this tiny nook. This room was in the Green Hill House. I don't own that so I'm not sure it actually has this. Someone tell me!

The items are STUCK on the vanity. Do YOU do that with your items so they don't keep falling over?! OH. What. A. Sin.

He says today's study schedule was art. lol

Of course, she explored the rooms as well! 

This was the food available at the restaurant. It wasn't even a Sylvanian Kitchen. The food was not good... I wouldn't really recommend it. It seemed like microwaved/reheated food...

It was quite rainy so there were only a few children outside the school!

Maria enjoyed the view of the windmill quite a lot. I did, too! It was lovely!

This was the first building I saw when entering. I immediately and giddily exclaimed to Takashi, "THAT'S MY HOUSE!" Well, of course it isn't. It's just that I have the miniature version of it. Haha.

And now that we're talking about it... Sylvanian Families ARE miniatures... And these buildings are basically replicas of the original buildings. So how do we call them? Someone coin a word for that! "Largiature" seems like a medical procedure! HAHAHA.

The bakery also sells character bread! I didn't buy them so I'm not sure if they are any good.

Here's Maria being a tourist in this town. Very, very stalker-ish, Maria.

Well at least, I THINK, she made a new friend?

Here's one of the Nonohana (Wildflower) Rabbits! Sooooo cute!

He was trying to help the baby get the balloon stuck up on the tree but Takashi said he can never get it because his ladder was too short... Poor thing.

So would I recommend Grinpa? If you are a fan/collector of Sylvanian Families then I'm sure you'd enjoy it. It's not a very big place but it's still a lot of fun seeing figures and buildings in... human-size! If you are going there for shopping, you might be a bit underwhelmed. There aren't a lot of exclusives, like a lot of foreigners expect. You will likely see the Nonohana Family, the Soyokaze Sister, 1/2 of the seasonal Nonohana sisters. And maybe couple of Grinpa-exclusive keyrings. I didn't even see the Soyokaze or Nonohana sister keyring when I visited. :/

There were a couple of fairy items though. I'm not sure if they're exclusive but I haven't seen them in other shops here in Japan.
